Center for Food Safety: Regenerating Paradise

Regenerating Paradise is a video series featuring local farm projects paving the way towards regenerative agriculture in Hawaiʻi.

The Challenge

We collaborated with production company Wakeful State on this series. There are sections within the scripts that needed animation visualization, such as the process of composting, farm-to-school concept, and diabetes statistics in Hawaiʻi. Based on the script, we produced the animation portions to explain each of these concepts.

Center for Food Safety (CFS) is a national non-profit and environmental advocacy organization working to protect human health and the environment by curbing the use of harmful food production technologies and by promoting organic and other forms of sustainable agriculture. They produced this series to educate the public about how healthy soil can mitigate climate change.

Visual Treatment

We want to create characters and sceneries that are relatable and true to the Hawaiian culture. After several design revisions and feedback from the producers, we developed this earthy color palette and visual style for the characters and tropical sceneries.
